Great Auto Door

Great auto door, love it. Very easy to install and set up. We got the advanced one going to order another one and install at fence. This weekend we ran water and electricity all under ground so plugs are inside no more extension cords. Company is also good at returning emails..

Our Chickens Love it

We have programmed our unit to stay open for 4 minutes before closing permanently for the night on the second chance. We also programmed it to open/close by sunrise/sunset at our location, with an offset for the ridges east and west of us. It has operated flawlessly since installation and programming, even in our down to 30 degrees below zero F temperatures. It was painlessly easy to install, program, and operate. Our chickens love it…and so do we since we no longer have to trudge through fresh snow at sunup each morning!

Awesome company and awesome customer service!! I purchased an old model door that wasn’t working properly. Dawn did a great job of troubleshooting my door and ultimately getting me an upgraded replacement door at no extra cost! Definitely recommend them.

Convenient, well-thought out, reliable

We love the door. The programming is excellent. It was easy to install. Programming was clear and easy. I particularly appreciate the sunrise/sunset option. We set the backup, but it has never had to kick in. Ours uses “AA” batteries. They last about 3 months, then the door open/close needs to be recalibrated. Not a big deal. I want to switch to electric or possibly solar (more $$ than I want to spend for 6 chickens). Every time I crawl into the coop, I see the instructions plastered to the control panel. Brilliant. I would never remember to drag out the manual – if I could find it. Our girls love getting out at sunrise – I love staying in my bed!

Great Product

We just purchased the new 2020 Pet Auto Door for our chicken coop. We had the old version and this new one was easy to set up and program. Exceeded our expectations. We love it!!

Good customer service

I had some trouble with the battery compartment in my door. Dawn was quick to respond to my emails and phone calls and made sure I was able to send the piece I needed in for repair/replacement. I will buy from this company again, knowing they stand behind their products and will work to make things right.

This is the coop door I was looking for.

I bought this automatic door for my chicken coop last spring.
I refused to buy any China junk from Amazon so I decided on this outfit because it is American made. In addition, I know that the Amish build things with good workmanship.
The unit is well made with heavy duty components and parts, the minute I took it out of the box I could see it was heavy duty and not flimsy in any way.
It works great and is easy to program. It is worth every cent I paid for it and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company.
Don’t waste your money on the cheap Chinese stuff, pay a couple more bucks and get this door.
I installed it in 10 minutes with my cordless drill, plugged it in and programmed the timer in 1 minute.
These guys make a good product.

Love my 2015 Advanced Model

My 2015 Advanced model is still going strong, but I realize that it will not last forever. I had problems in the beginning, because the product was new, but the company was fantastic in solving all problems, even sending me a new module when mine malfunctioned. I am sad that the new complete door will not work in my coop, so when I have to replace my opener, I will be forced to purchase an opener with less features. Love, love, love the sunrise/sunset feature. I will never find another opener with all the features & electric operation like the original. I highly recommend the company & I am sad that I can never get another module like the old one.

Peace of mind

I love my control automated door. I work 10 hours shifts takes me an hour to get home from my shift, so my birds are left alone 12 hours at a time and with the automatic door it closes it at dusk, so I don’t have to worry about my hens being out there with other critters coming onto the place. I would have to try to find neighbors to close my door before and if I can find anyone then they were just left up open and that was scary because sometimes something would get in there. Now I don’t have that problem I’ve got this automatic door opener and closer and my girls are safe, and I’m happy.

Best door on the market!

I have a lot of coops and I have purchased 6 of these doors and from my experience they are the best! I have purchased other doors and have issues with them so instead I bought another of these doors. I occasionally would have a issue with one and the customer service is the easiest to deal with and go above to help me out! I can’t say enough about how great this business is and the people (Elam and Dawn) who have helped me in the past. Now I’m waiting on the new wifi door to become available.

5 years and still going strong

Absolutely the best door on the market in terms if engineering, functionality, ease of use and reliability. I have been using SmartPet Auto doors for about 6 years with no complaints. I have had questions and even a lightning strike, but Elam and Dawn were always there with second-to-none customer service.

I have three of the doors for my coops and have been very happy with them. After many years, one had a ribbon issue that Dawn immediately helped me send the unit in and Elam fixed it and sent it back ASAP. I would definitely buy from them again!!

Life saving!

My door is about 6 yrs old. I’ve replaced a few parts (some under warranted, others at minimal cost). Every time, Ethan was “right on” with diagnosing my issue & quickly mailing me a replacement part. This door saved my girls. It is worth EVERY penny!

Great Product

I purchased the coop door with the optional solar package to make chicken keeping a bit easier for me after my husband passed away. Although I believe the instructions recommended mounting it on the inside of the coop, a well-meaning friend mounted it on the outside. The only problem I have had with it being mounted on the outside was when we had some unusual heavy snowfalls in the Nashville area. With the snow and subsequent ice and thawing/refreezing, the door was hesitant to open. I simply hung a towel over the door to protect it/insulate it during the extreme conditions and did not have any more problems. I also purchased the optional solar kit and love it. The instructions did mention to mount the solar panel to the south side of the coop. Initially my friend mounted it to the north side and I had trouble with it charging enough to open/close. Once the solar panel was moved to the south side of the coop, I have not had any more problems. This product has given me such great peace of mind and was worth every penny!

I have purchased doors from this company for years. I have 5/6 doors and just bought my first Wi-Fi door from them. Love love it! I can sit in my home and open or close the door whenever I want. The customer service is out of this world. Elam or Dawn have gone above to take care of any of my issues.

Confident in Performance

When I first received the chicken auto door, there was a defect in the display module. The company replaced it with a new one that has worked perfectly.
The auto door is very dependable, so that I am confident with not having to even check it. It works great.

I can sleep at night knowing my girls as safe. Easy to install- I did it by myself! AND I don’t have to wake up so early on the weekends anymore to let them out to free range. If you’re still on the fence about this purchase, just do it! Worth every penny.

Will not buy any other door

This is the second door I’m buying from this company. Bought my first several years ago. As given me complete peace of mind and no more getting up with the sun to let the girls out. I go on vacation without worrying if my pet sitter is getting them in the coop. I’m actually buying two this time. One is for a neighbor with chickens who bought a different door and told me she is sorry she didn’t go with this one. The employees at the company are great too. Great company support

I have the original auto chicken door. I’ve had it for at least 5 years. It has made such a huge difference in my having my flock. I no longer have to leave dinner parties to ” close the chickens up”. There’s a great peace of mind knowing my girls are safe from harm. I’ve contacted the company on numerous occasions with questions. They have always been responsive and helpful. I highly recommend the auto door. Get one , you won’t regret it.

Automatic Chicken Coop Door Opener

I have had this door installed and running for about three months now. It opens and closes without fail every time.
It was easy to install and set up.
I will definately recommend this door to anyone else who may have a need for one.

Great auto doot

Had the original door for over 12 years, It worked great until it did not.
The new door had a problem on set up but customer service handled quickly. Has worked great foe six months now. I love the convince and security. Predators check out my flock nightly.and it is much more dependable than humans to close .

Listen up!

My daughter gave me a well used 12 year old Pet Auto Door. Dawn, the technician at Pet Auto Door helped me set it up with my Latitude/Longitude over the phone. It has worked flawlessly for 1 1/2 years. One night it failed so I called Dawn and ordered the new Door equipped with WIFI. Then I promptly canceled it because I plugged my old one in and it worked perfect. Apparently, it needed rebooted. I reinstalled it 2 months ago. Perfect ever since! MY NEXT DOOR WILL BE A PET AUTO DOOR, if we ever need one.

What can I Say? Great customer service

Purchased an older auto door 3-4 years ago and it was working great and all my chicks loved it and did not lose any chicks to predators while using it, then one day it just stopped working. What a bummer, so I called customer to see they could help me or to see what options i had if i had to purchase another one . Well the unexpected happened. There was updated new version of the door and it was not compatible parts wise with the old version but there was a few leftover power supply cords left over and was told that i might try one of them. Well it was shipped to me without charge and i plugged it in and am now back up and going and my chicks are happy. A Big Thank You for such outstanding customer service! ”If or when the unit finally goes out in the future i plan on purchasing another one from pet auto doors as they truly stand behind their product!

BEST CHICKEN DOOR ON THE MARKET

Pet Auto Doors are the BEST we have found!!! We previously tried others.
Well constructed, good operating design, excellently built and engineered electronics, simple operation.
We have been using their doors for approximately 6 years with two different models. While the first model worked fine the current model is an improved version.
Whenever we have a maintenance issue, rarely, Elam backs up his warranty. He even answers his own phone!
We have power to our coop & run so we use the plug-in version. We also just manually set the door and open times as needed, about once a month, very easy. We originally had the sunrise/sunset auto model but did not find the need for that this time.
We and the chickens sleep more secure with their nighttime quarters protected with the lowered door.
We will always use Pet Auto Doors for our coop!!!
